Pricing & Booking Explained
At The Old Vicarage B&B we aim to provide good value to all our guests by charging a fair price for above average accommodation and service. We have created this page to help you understand how to make a booking, explain how our prices are calculated and provide a few more details about our accommodation:-
B&B accommodation prices are expressed in pounds per bedroom based on 2 people travelling together and sharing a double or twin room. Self-catering accommodation is no different but expressed in pounds per property based on a party of two.

Your ‘Check-in’ date [see 1 below] is the date of your arrival and depending on this date there may be a seasonal uplift. Your ‘Check-out’ date [see 2 below] is the date of your departure , i.e. the date on which you leave us and the number of nights between these two dates are what you will be charged for. Once these dates have been selected the duration of your stay is shown on the booking calendar [see 3 below]. There are minimum durations, set at two nights for B&B accommodation and three nights for self catering accommodation. Once you are happy the booking dates are correct, click ‘Book Now’ to continue to the booking pop-up.

A price reduction is available for the single occupancy of all B&B accommodation. The number of room occupants normally defaults to two on the booking form. Therefore for single occupancy you need to now reduce the number of guests in the ‘Guests’ box to one [see below]. This reflects one less mouth to feed at the breakfast table. If you have been provided with a promotion or voucher code now is the time to enter it by clicking on the ‘Apply Promo or Voucher’ link. Once you are happy all is correct, click ‘Continue’ to progress to the next screen. At this stage you can also review the details, availability, photos and location of your booking by clicking on the different tabs across the top of the pop-up.

You have now entered sufficient information for us to create your booking. The total shown in GB Pounds is the sum of the following components. The number of nights you have booked multiplied by an uplift if you have booked during our high season [see 1 below] and the appropriate nightly rate depending on occupancy [see 2 below]. In addition there is a single ‘Cleaner Fee’. We charge a separate cleaning fee so as not to penalise those wishing to stay for longer than the minimum period and to reflect the extra Covid-19 related cleaning costs [see 3 below]. If you are booking more than two weeks ahead we require a minimum of 50% of your booking fee to paid as a deposit, this total is shown as the ‘Payment due’ [see 4 below].
Please now fill your details into the booking form and add any special requests to the notes box. You are also required to confirm you have viewed our ‘Terms of Service’ before clicking ‘Continue’ to proceed to the payment section.

This is the final part and before you enter your card details please check that the pro forma booking invoice is displaying your correct details. You can also decide to pay in full now or just the minimum deposit [see 1 below]. Whatever value you decide to pay will be reflected on the Stripe payment form [see 2 below]. Once you are happy click ‘Pay’ to process your new booking.
