At The Old Vicarage B&B we aim to provide good value to all our guests by charging a fair price for above average accommodation and service. We have created this page to help you understand how to make a booking, explain how our prices are calculated and provide a few more details about our accommodation:-
Accommodation Pricing
B&B accommodation prices are expressed in pounds per bedroom based on 2 people travelling together and sharing a double or twin room. Self-catering accommodation is no different but expressed in pounds per property based on a party of two.

How to start your booking
To start a booking, click any of the ‘Book Now’ or ‘Check Availability’ buttons which can be found throughout the site.
Select the arrival and departure dates of your stay, and how many guests will be staying.
The booking forms can be displayed in one of six different languages. The default is English, if an alternative language is preferred click on the language selector at the bottom right of the screen.
Click on the ‘Select stay dates’ box to set your ‘Check-in’ date as the date of your arrival and the ‘Check-out’ date as the date of your departure , i.e. the date on which you leave us. The number of nights between these two dates are what you will be charged for. Once these dates have been selected the duration of your stay is shown on the booking calendar. There is no minimum duration for B&B accommodation however there is a minimum of three nights for self-catering accommodation.
Set the number of guests (see below) as either one or two per room. A further price reduction of £20 per night is applied to all single occupancy B&B accommodation. The number of room occupants defaults to two therefore for single occupancy make sure the correct number of occupants is set.
If you have been provided with a promotion or voucher code now is the time to enter it by clicking on the ‘Add promocode’ box (see below). Once you are happy these details are correct, select the room option you require and follow the booking process.
If you are booking more than two weeks ahead we will require a minimum of 50% of your booking fee paid as a deposit, this total is shown when payment is requested.
Once you have clicked search, our available rooms will be listed, followed by our other rooms which may be occupied on the dates you have selected. Scroll down to find the room you wish to stay in and click ‘Select’ and then ‘Book’ buttons to book a room, or ‘Try Alternative Dates’ to see when our other rooms are available.
You can supplement your booking with a number of additional services which are charged on a per item basis. For example, packed lunches or room celebration options.
You will need to provide your contact and billing details in order to confirm your booking.
What is Included
All accommodation includes a private bathroom (only Hall View is not en-suite) and is reserved for the number of nights shown on the booking form. In the case of self-catering accommodation, please assume bed linen, bathroom towels, heating, electricity and final cleaning are all included.
Car parking is available on our driveway. We have recently erected a rack for bicycle storage which is about to have lockable doors added to it.
Meal Arrangements
A full English cooked breakfast or a breakfast that fits your dietary requirements is included in the price of all ‘Bed & Breakfast’ accommodation. Menu alternatives can be selected the night before to ensure your breakfast of choice is ready for you in the morning. Where possible, we try to use regional produce in all our meals.
Room Upgrade
If on arrival you wish to upgrade your room please let us know and as long as the room is free we will arrange the change. Any increase in charges will be added to your bill for settlement on departure.
